"Imagination is the capacity for discovery"

Augusta Ada King, better known as Ada Lovelace, held a degree in mathematics and is considered to be the first programmer in history. In the nineteenth century, she wrote a few programmes for a computing machine that was only intended to be put into effect. Countess of Lovelace was the first to introduce such concepts as cycle and operational unit in the context of programming.

However, the focus of this collection is less on technical discoveries but on the power of imagination and fantasy, self-belief and strength of spirit. It draws upon grace, femininity, and subtlety of style combined with a strong character, erudition, and curiosity. Upon the desire to make the world greater.

 Specifications:

  • movement – Swiss quartz Ronda 762;
  • operational life on 1 button-cell battery – up to 3 years;
  • accuracy movement – 10/+20 seconds per month;
  • glass – sapphire;
  • case material – stainless steel;
  • water resistance – 30 m;
  • case size – 36*36 mm;
  • case thickness – 8,9 mm;
  • belt width – 16 mm;
  • strap – genuine leather;
  • limited edition – 500 units.

    The distinctive features of Victorian-era fashion were luxury, rich decor, and spectacular jewellery. Lace and rich colors were in great request. Expressive wardrobe elements were prevailing. The Victorian era in women's fashion tremendously emphasized femininity.

    Our collection incorporates shapes and colors that preserve the style of Victorian fashion; however, we have added more restraint and minimalism, thereby rethinking the previous canons and making the accessory suitable for everyday wear.

    The design feature is primarily a miniature though lavish case. The deeply saturated colours of the collection symbolize nobility and stress status. The minimalistic style of the dial indicates the rigour of the collection's design and its compliance with the theme.

    The unconventional elements of the dial are X and Y on the 12 and 6 o'clock mark respectively. They serve as references to Ada Lovelace's first developed programme for calculating equations with two unknowns, where X and Y are variables.

    The back cover is engraved with the title of the collection, a limited edition number and a piece of the Countess's quote ‒ "Imagination is the Discovering Faculty" ‒ which means that imagination is the capacity for discovery.

    The case material is made of stainless steel; the movement is Swiss quartz Ronda; the glass is sapphire; the strap material is genuine leather. The watch will be available in 6 colors: Wine Red, Nude, Grey, Blue, Black, Beige. A total of 500 units of each model will be produced.
